An Unbelievable Gift!
Many thanks to DLH for her advice and insights on my latest writing project, and mega thank yous for the kind gift of the Oswald Chambers book.


If you don't know who Oswald Chambers is, the best introduction to his incredible writings on the Christian life is the classic, My Utmost For His Highest, probably the best selling Christian classic after John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress To have the complete works of Chambers is a wonderful thing, and I am grateful for the kind encouragement. Not everybody is so pleased with what I write! Thank you again, and I will quickly put a card in the mail. But so far, the chapter "Cure of Souls" is riveting.

For people coming out of the Hyles-style Christian Fundamentalism, Oswald Chambers is more doctrinally focused than Andrew Murray, with a tremendous focus on the unity of faith and works in our lives. Yet he is one of the gentlest, kindest writers ever to grace Christendom. This is a wonderful gift, and I am going to go off now to read some more!  3:11 PM
